What is double silk crepe fabric?
As a lightweight silk, double silk crepe fabric, uses mulberry silk as raw materials, warp yarns using untwisted monofilaments or weak twisted yarns, and weft yarns using strong twisted yarns. When weaving, the weft thread is woven alternately with two left twist threads and two right twist threads in sequence, and the fabric structure is plain weave. This kind of fabric is also called silk crepe de chine. After scouring and finishing, the surface of the fabric is creped, with micro-concavo-convex and wavy scaly wrinkles, soft gloss, soft hand and it is comfortable to wear, and has good anti-wrinkle performance.
Double silk crepe fabric is mainly used for men and women shirts, dresses and other clothing.
Its main characteristics include even and fine wrinkled surface, soft and smooth texture and brightness in colors. And it is feminine, elastic, comfortable to wear. In the meantime, this type of silk fabric is cool and breathable, Its body is heavier than silk georgette fabric and the shrinkage is around 8%-10%.
