Although it is named after georgette, it is quite different than silk georgette fabric. Silk double georgette is heavier and thicker. Both of these two fabrics are matte however, while double georgette comes with a little more sheen and less grainy than pure silk georgette. It is a matte fabric, not easy to wrinkle, not easy to pull silk and has good wrinkle resistance, so it is an easy job to take care of silk double georgette.

The way to test silks
The simplest way is to test by burning. There is no open fire when silk is burnt and it comes with a smell of burning hair and the black particles after burning can be crushed into powder with fingers.
