Blend velvet fabric is usually made up of 20% silk and 80% viscose. And there is another velvet fabric that is made up completely synthetically to bring down the production cost. There are bunches of short but dense piles on blend velvet fabric and other types of velvet to give them an extremely soft and comfortable hand feel.
It costs relatively high price to produce blend velvet fabric and it is often associate with nobility and richness.
